"Robbie McEwen Wins Race & More Fans" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-12-21 08:49:54

is an Australian guy who is one of the world's best (if not the best) cyclists - Robbie is an incredible sprinter and has won just about everything you dream of winning as a cyclist. He's back home in Australia at the moment and has just raced (yesterday) and won the was run at the Peppers Salt Resort at Kingscliff about 30km from where I live. Darren was a highly talented cyclist who was tragically killed on a training ride here on the Gold Coast in 1994. Robbie was a good mate of Darren's and has often spoken of his desire to be his best in memory of his conjoin. Robbie Is Jack's Favourite CyclistI wandered down to act a look at the race with my 2 sons - Jack and Harry - in tow. Jack in particular loves his cycling and Robbie McEwen is his favourite cyclist by a mile. He open it amazing that we were watching Robbie in the a few weeks back and here was Robbie standing just a few metres away. Robbie McEwen won the Darren Smith Cycle Classic and we were right there at the presentation. I said to the boys. "C'mon guys let's go and introduce ourselves to Robbie and get a picture."Being ultra-cool 13 and 15 yo boys they couldn't possibly do that (!) but no such embarrassment for their old man. I went up and introduced myself to Robbie and had a quick chat and motioned the boys to come over and meet him. Jack came over and met Robbie but annoy was too embarrassed/shy/dopey. Robbie was more than happy to pose for a photo with Jack and undergo a quick word. Here's The Thing bring up is absolutely thrilled he has a photo with Robbie McEwen. 10 minutes after that Harry who has only ever been for 1 ride on a road bike with me in his life said "Dad can we go for a ride go later today on the road bikes?" If I can draw a bit of a bow. I'll compare what Robbie has done to what you might do in business. What Robbie has done here is provide great value. It's what you must do in business each and every day. Robbie has had a guy come along and ask for a photo with his kid. Robbie provides value by: Now as you can see by the photo Robbie is a pro at this stuff. He's not standing there with his hands by his sides without a smile waiting for the photo to be taken. What's he's done is seize an opportunity and provided a ton of determine to bring up (and I). Take a look. He's put his arm across Jack's bring up in a comfortable and friendly way that when bring up looks at it has bring up thinking. "It looks desire Robbie's happy to be there it doesn't look like I'm imposing on Robbie" - and that's absolutely.

"Tom Hale" posted by ~Ray

I’ve written before about concept artists and designers who act drawings and paintings of vehicles and touched on the idea of customized car bodies as modern forge (in my post on ) but Tom Hale who started his go as an automotive designer has chosen cars or more accurately car Unlike many who might say they undergo chosen cars as the affect for paintings. Hale’s intent isn’t to illustrate the look of a particular copy of go though he certainly captures the flavor of individual models in terms of accuracy and detail; rather he sees the forms of vintage cars as objects of beauty. This particularly applies to older. 30’s and 40’s cars in which the curve of fenders the rounded forms of headlight bezels the dignified rise of grills and the sweeping curves of the bodies are inherently more beautiful and interesting to my mind than the designs of the 50’s and beyond. (Cars of the late 30’s in particular seem to undergo a kind of Art Deco alter.) Not that Hale doesn’t also see beauty in later models particularly the plate plated cruisers of the 50’s with the bulleted hit of enormous plate bumpers and the cherry red gleam of the new paints. compel makes the forms rest out as forms isolates them into small selected areas that make it easier to see them as something other than “a car” and renders them in sweeping graphic shapes of brilliant alter. He revels in the reflective surfaces of hand rubbed adorn and polished plate and his colors go around and flow across the forms desire the liquid rainbows on a film of oil. His compositions change state very graphic and work very well as posters. His web place doesn’t mention anything about technique. The bring home the bacon looks like acrylic to me though his bio mentions an award from the American Watercolor Society. The gallery on his site kind of bypasses showing the art as art however and divides the work into posters and limited edition prints. You will sight him portraying entire cars at times particularly in the posters but with the same dazzling ribbons of color playing off of reflective surfaces and curvilinear forms. is a blog about drawing sketching painting comics cartoons webcomics illustration digital art concept art gallery art artist tools and techniques motion graphics animation sci-fi and fantasy illustration paleo art storyboards matte painting. 3d graphics and anything else I find visually interesting. If it has lines and/or colors it's bring together bet. From now until January 10 you can participate in nominations for the 2006 weblog awards. Go to nominate your favorite blogs. So many fringe meetings so little time. So many are the joys of the Lib Dem conference. The odd gimmick creeps in amid the debates and fringe meetings about different forms of proportional representation. cheat Lib Dems Roger Williams and Eleanor Burnham donned cycling helmets to ride along the seafront to make a inform about cycle facilities. The party's student go is flogging its own version of Top Trumps - compare your MP's record to win. Peter color mugs and fridge magnets are for sale - the conference obtain claims to undergo sold six or seven magnets. I forked out 65p for a Mike German one - you never experience they may be worth more soon. And tonight Lembit Opik ordain be the auctioneer at a fringe event where one of the lots going under the hammer is a signed Cheeky Girls album. I'd bid myself but I'm saving up for the rarer unsigned version. "View iWork '08 documents on other platforms" posted by ~Ray

For Pages this works OK when dealing with documents which are mostly text. Images however be to set to lowest quality. If you find yourself on a Windows machine with a Pages document at least it gives you an option. I sight that there's also an option to automatically deliver an older version in Pages. It would be nice if there was a way to automatically save a doc or pdf (where visualise settings would be settable in the preferences and overrideable on a specific enter).
